2. Hot and cold water reversed on guest shower. Promised to repair, has not done so. Scalding potential.
I am a licensed Real Estate Agent and Community Association Manager who owns a property management company and would highly recommend Pacetti Plumbing. I have been using Rick, along with his boys Richard and Matt, for several years to handle all of my plumbing issues. From a leaking 3-inch main water line in a mid-rise building, to a clogged sink in a rental, to installation of new fixtures and toilets in a remodel, to plumbing repairs in my own personal home; Pacetti Plumbing has always been responsive in getting the job fixed properly and promptly. Their prices are always fair and competitive and their quality of work is excellent. Being in property management, I especially appreciate the fact that they are respectful of the property owners and/or tenants and always cleanup after themselves. Do yourself a favor and use Pacetti Plumbing, a locally owned and operated plumbing company that you can trust, rather than a franchise that nickle-and-dimes you for everything. I DEFINITELY recommend Pacetti Plumbing!
Do yourself a favor select another plumber for your needs because this is not the one to use. It was an all day affair to replace simple faucet! Could not provide same day service when they were called around 12:30 PM that day, so booked an appointment the following day and explained it was a leaky faucet and may need to be replaced, when the service appointment time came and went I called the office. I was told they had booked a bigger job and pushed my appointment back without even a phone call. 45 mins later a rep showed up and was on site for 15 mins, he would be right back because he did not have the part on his truck for the faucet nor did he have a replacement faucet on his truck. Which I had explained to the office when scheduling the appointment and was ensured they would carry the part or the replacement on the truck and it would be on their work truck. Otherwise I would have purchased a faucet and had it waiting for them when they arrived for replacement. About an hour went by so I called the office and was told the service rep / plumber could not be reached he could have went to lunch but the woman would call me back and let me know an update. Of course you guessed it. No phone call. Ok so now a total of 3 hours later, since he left. I call the office again. I was then told she could not reach the service rep/ plumber he must be on another job but this time she would call me back. A few minutes go by and then I received a call, yes he went on another job and she could not say when he would be back or even if it would be today. He tried to call me back and had the wrong number, so he was not sure I was still waiting for him and they did not bill for an additional service call in case, I was not home when he chose to return sometime in the afternoon. Of course she called on the very number she originally claimed was the wrong number but when I began to point that out the woman state she doesn't lie and hung up on me. So clearly this company either doesn't monitor the whereabouts or the workload of their service reps /plumbers or they do and string their customers along while your pipes are leaking and they keep billing. When it came out in the end, he had never gone to pick up the new faucet as of 4 hours later since the time he stated he was going to get the replacement and be right back, so another plumber showed up from their company and 26 mins later the faucet was replaced. All this just to replace a sink faucet, I can not image them on a larger job.
I showed up at home at 4:10 for the 4:30 appointment to see the plumbing truck pulling away and I had to honk and flag him down. He stated to me that he was leaving because my appointment was at 4:30 and I wasn't there when he got there....I feel the need to mention again it was 4:10.
Pacetti Plumbing carelessly create problems and cause significant damage. They do not respond to requests to correct. Don't be fooled by Mr. Pacetti's smooth sales approach.
Ok St. Augustine friends. I wanted to warn you about Pacetti Plumbing. I have never been treated so rudely. Today was the third, yes I said third time they came out to fix a clog that started in my laundry room and due to the second "fix" my kitchen sink started backing up...hence the third time that they had to come back.
He then went off about how he had been here and cleared the line and didn't know what I had done...trying to say this was a separate issue from two days ago. He then said that my landlord had called and was yelling about him making it worse both of the other times....He did make it worse each time, however, my landlord would never .... and absolutely did not call and yell, she has too much class to do something like that. He then did not want to believe me that the sink was backing up, I asked if he had seen the picture I had sent them and he said no...I went to show him the picture and was told he didn't need to see a picture that he knew what a backed up sink looked like. He then informed me that snaking the drain to the road was not something they do, he was just doing it because they had done work at my landlord's. Keep in mind the slogan on their trucks and shirts was "If water runs through it we do it"
We used Pacetti Plumbing for the first time for an emergency repair. We own a lawn and landscape business. Something had been damaged at a clients house and we needed it repaired fast. Not only did Pacetti Plumbing fix it the same day , they did so without costing us a fortune!
9. Connected a new hose bib outside the whole house shut off valve, so there's no way to turn off in case of a problem like bursting from freezing.
1. Slid (rather than lifted) a chest of drawers, deeply gouged our new yellow pine bedroom floor. Mr. Pacetti admitted doing this at the time when I pointed it out to hom (gouges went from original wall position to the legs of the chest of drawers, so he had no way to deny). He promised to have a floor expert repair. Now claims "normal wear and tear."
He got back on the roof, slamming his plumbing equipment around and finally fixed the clog. At this point two of his employees showed up and started helping him load his truck back up and the minute they got there, his whole demeanor changed. He then called me ma'am and told me to have a nice day.
PACETTI did a complete re piping of our home, created many big issues:
DO NOT USE PACETTI PLUMBING UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH INEFFICIENCY AND RUDENESS.
5. The re piping necessitated moving attic insulation for access. Except where easily visible, Pacetti did not put it back in place leaving large ceiling areas un-insulated. (I crawled around in attics and put most back where should be),
He then started raising his voice at me and saying this was my fault because I hadn't been home the two times prior and he couldn't get in the house. I informed him that I had made the appointments and had been told I didn't need to be home as the laundry room is a separate room off the carport and they didn't need to get into the house.
Do your self a favor, select another plumber. You do not need the headaches. And Pacetti is very expensive, $7,400 for three days of plumbing work, plus another $1,200 to repair sheet rock. Because we thought Mr. Pacetti to be a man of character, we paid him in full the day the job was done. BIG mistake.
4. Connected large water pipe from street to large pipe entering the house with a much smaller pipe, out of sight under ground. I discovered this when insulating the pipe entering house. Pacetti says I am a "nit picker."
3. Stood on top of A/C air handler in attic, bent in top, broke seals, collapsed insulation into blower motor. I noticed it when investigating a noise. New pipes Pacetti installed run above the end of the air handler. He has not reimbursed significant cost of the repair. Claims damage must have been done by somebody else standing on top of the air handler.... Nobody else had been in that attic.
8. New powder room toilet now takes 2 1/2 minutes to refill. Used to refill in 30 seconds just like same toilet still does in adjacent bathroom. Says we need a new toilet....
6. In attic areas not readily visible, few/no clamps securing new pipes to beams, pipes are loose. Not sure if this will eventually cause a problem.
I then had to show him that running the washing machine backed up the kitchen sink....and guess what....It did. The only reason I maintained some sort of composure was because he had made it clear he didn't want to be there and was sure he would leave without fixing it if I reamed him out for his nastiness. I did however bring my 90 pound dog in the house to stare at him while he worked and he shut up.
7. Broke faux marble whirlpool removable front access panel. Of course things like this happen, OK, but Pacetti never even said he's sorry, Simply sheet rocked over it, so no longer any access without sawing a hole.
