Very enjoyable. Lots of vegan options including vegan cheese for the sandwiches. I had the tofu Ruben with vegetable pasta soup. The Ruben was very good with a home made sauerkraut and the soup was delicious too. I would definitely go back if I visit St. Augustine again.
Cozy dining area and incredibly inviting atmosphere. Local artists decorate the walls with art that finds a forever home in The Manatee Cafe, but also art that a customer can feel free to purchase. What a wonderful support of the community. The employees are wonderfully sweet and sincere. My children and I visited for the first time today during the lunch rush. It was just the three of us, but they were busy enough to have all tables filled and about a 5-10 minute wait to be seated. It was well worth the wait. There is a kids menu, but I opted to order a Burrito #2 with a fruit salad and split it between my twins. It was just the right proportion for both of them and just as easy on the wallet as it would be to order two items off their kid menu. Eco friendly plastic cups with lids and straws for the kids, which is not only a plus but a pretty awesome contribution to the footprint they leave behind. The three of us had water to drink, which tastes great at the cafe! I ordered a tuna salad on croissant roll with hummus and chips. Both my meal and my children's meal were incredibly delicious. We ordered a slice of key lime pie after we cleaned our plates which was also quite tasty! The bathrooms are immaculate and paying the bill was a breeze. We love this place and will visit more often in the future for sure! Thanks so much.
This place is a delightful little surprise for all visiting St. Augustine. The atmosphere and attention are superb, customer service is the name of the game and “The manatee coffee” plays it well. The food is amazing! I have been a vegan for some time, having tried different spots all around the country, I dare say that this was one of the best ones I have had the privilege of dinning in. Most things on the menu can be made vegan and they make a true art out of the their cuisine. I am greatful to having had the opportunity of eating here and enjoying a great atmosphere.
Loved the atmosphere of this place! It was very relaxing with lots of nature decor and of course plenty of manatees. They have a ton of vegan and vegetarian options, the menu was very creative with lots of unique recipes. The tofu scramble was loaded with veggies including sweet potato (I think) which was amazing! The waffles were great and weren't heavy like most. They tasted healthier and felt a lot lighter after eating them. The portions are very generous and the pricing is reasonable.
Best Fresh Organic Food in Town! If you are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free, this is the breakfast and lunch spot for you. I've been eating at the Manatee Cafe for about 15 years. In that time the quality and flavor of their food has not been compromised. They have the best coffee and hash browns in town. I can't eat there without dousing everything I order in their amazing Nutritional Yeast dressing. Even if you aren't into veggies, this place has something you'll love. Give the Manatee Cafe a try. You'll become a life-long customer too.
