We could not sleep at all. The room was infested with mold and small insects. The bed (with some sort of diabolical device to pump air in and out of the mattress) was one of the most uncomfortable we had ever experienced. But worst of all, the antiquated air conditioner cranked on and off constantly, all night long, sounding like a rusty robot in the process of shooting a machine gun. Right next to our ears. The website pictures of this hotel are extremely misleading. The "antiques" are junky old furniture. The "secret garden" is an area devoted to garbage cans and moldering discards. It may be that some of the rooms have been renovated, but the public rooms themselves are dirty and have rather an odor, which does not bode well for any of the other bedrooms. I would think very hard before booking this place, in spite of the convenient location in the historic district right across a busy street from the water.

Some of the workers there had nasty attitudes while doing their jobs involving service. And the room was also riddled with insects.

We have been to this place several times, because we love it. It embodies St. Augustine with it's quaint and funky vibe. The Martini Bar on the front porch is the best place in all of St. Augustine to have a cocktail and enjoy the weather, while watching people walking by. It is dog friendly. The staff has always been courteous and fun. The drinks are to die for - each one comes in a large cocktail shaker, so you are getting about one and a half drink per order. And the variety is awesome. Each room is decorated differently and we have tried a few. They were all comfortable and a nice change from the boring chain hotels. There is also a beautiful indoor bar, and a nice garden area where dogs are welcomed.

Had breakfast at Brunch. The chorizo wrap was great, just the right amount of heat. Wife had the French toast, she liked it as well. Portion sizes are large for the reasonable prices, and the menu is varied enough that we'll be back again.

I absolutely fell in love with this place! My original reason for staying here was for typically "haunted" inns. I stayed in the couch house, which is absolutely beautiful, clean, and just gave me this really nice feeling and the aesthetic was just perfect. One of the employees told me people don't really have sightings in the couch house mostly in the main house, so if you're looking for something spooky stay in the main house. I definitely will be next time. But, regardless, the coach house is adorable. Our balcony was so cute and relaxing, within perfect view of other inns behind us that were also aesthetically pleasing. The house itself it's great to tour around. Another convenience is the Casablanca is in downtown st augustine so it's within walking distance of everything you want to go see. Upon booking you get $15 for their bar and $25 for breakfast for their restaurant and parking is included. Martinis were a little over priced, but I get it! Otherwise their drinks are priced pretty normally and breakfast was great priced as well. (I definitely suggest their peach cobbler French toast it was incredible.) Parking was a little hard to find, but with a call to the front and some directions we found it just fine. Staff is all very sweet and helpful - loved them all. Especially Alexis who I talked to at the front desk while booking my stay. I love this little place and I'll definitely be staying here for our anniversary next month. Definitely recommend to anyone traveling to st augustine.
