Hotel has been newly renovated rooms were nice and modern. It was a last minute business trip stayed one night. Upon check in I mentioned mixed reviews and she mentioned that I was staying in a new... when i walked in room It was nice... it was late and cold so just wanted hot shower and good night sleep... water would not get hot so I took cold shower hoping morning would be better... nope still no hot water... upon check out I let the manager know there was no hot water in the room... she said did you let it run for a while... I said over 10 min.... all I got from her was your all set have a nice day...
Stayed this weekend in a “renovated room” on the 6th floor. Noticed the room next to ours was gutted and smelled like mold. I know because the door was left open and accessible. Our room was still in bad shape for being newly renovated, too much to mention. Hotel had bad mold smell, my kids nor I liked this hotel. It could be amazing, so much potential with the right investors! Great location!
After reading the reviews, I was nervous about booking a room. I voiced this in my "Special Requests" & let the hotel know that this was my honeymoon. The manager was very sweet and even upgraded us to a lakeview suite. I noticed most of the reviews talk about the hotel being outdated, but it is currently undergoing a huge renovation. There are signs to make the guests aware of these renovations, and if you notice any issues with your room, they will definitely accommodate you. One review said there was no hot water and the guest waited until checkout to say anything..... Hmmm.... Anyway, the hotel is beautiful, and I cannot wait to see the finished product!!!
If they would have said the room had no hot water I would not have stayed... if they wanted a good review or for me to stay again as we have a project going on near by they should of had a better responce for a unhappy client...
I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews on here as I had booked this hotel room a couple of months in advance and don't usually look at reviews. The only reason I even saw these was because my oldest daughter looked at them. They were so far from one direction to the other in content that it was hard to believe that all of them were talking about the same place. I will admit though that I was a little worried about what to expect until we got here. It IS an older hotel....I'd say late 80s....but we got here on the tail end of a three month renovation, and our room was very nice, and even though it rained....we never got wet except when we showered. To calm your worries if you have any, it was clean, the water pressure was wonderful, the help friendly, and the breakfast pleasant. It did not scream old, musty, out-dated or any of the things some of these crybabies commented on. I'm going ti specifically plan a trip for a couple of months from now just so I can see what they do with the atrium/commons area. Kudos, staff and crew, for a job well done.
The staff let's us hold our radio-controlled sailboat races at their pond every year. The view from the pond side of the hotel is beautiful. There is plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy the view too. We have had excellent banquets which the staff expertly handled (we had close to 100 people). I have stayed with this hotel for 10 years and am excited to see the entire hotel is being toally renovated. I will certainly enjoy this next version of one of my favorite places to stay!
