My husband and I have stayed at the Old Powder House 3 times now, and each time has been wonderful. Our first stay was in the Queen Anne's Lace room, where we ended up getting engaged. The room was lovely, and the veranda outside was romantic. Our second stay was a quick getaway for a friend's wedding. We chose the smallest room, cozy and private and just perfect. This last stay was for our 7th anniversary, and we went for the Memories room, the largest room featuring a wonderful jacuzzi... just what we needed to recharge our batteries. The owners are friendly and attentive, the breakfasts are gourmet, and the inn will always have a special place in our hearts. We'll always stay at the Powder House when in St Augustine.

Stay here for the breakfast. Kill time to 9am by enjoying the cozy and clean rooms, friendly staff and their many recommendations, or hang out on the second floor with a glass of wine.
This was my first experience at a B & B and it l9ved up to all my expectations of what I thought that one should be like. Bob and Suzanne welcomed us as if we were old friends. The breakfast was beyond amazing with such an attention to detail. We enjoyed sitting in the parlor or up on the veranda enjoying our cup of coffee or glass of wine. Bob spent an evening just talking with my husband and he was very pleased with that. We will be going back, they even told us to come and visit them if we are in the area even if we were not staying with them, which is very welcoming
Customer service is great, breakfast is awesome, atmosphere is one of a kind- 118 year old house full of history. Location is perfect, and it is quiet at night... Only a 3 minute walk away from the busy George St. 8 minutes to the Castillo. I would HIGHLY recommend for a weekend get away. Only one recommendation - bring your own pillow if possible. The pillows are FLAT.
The room was very clean and the house was nice. The location was perfect and was in walking distance to everything. The staff went over the top to make us feel welcome, I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before this weekend. When we go back to St Augustine this will be my first choice of places to stay. The breakfasts were great. My girlfriend has a lot of food allergies and they went out of there way to make sure they made her something that she was able to eat. I highly recommend staying here.
